Spellbound by Design is going through a transitional period at the moment... personally I am trying to work on my own handwriting and driving towards a more creative work balance but I want this space to become a little corner of treasure and magical inspiration, I am also working on the design and branding of Spellbound right now...stay tuned and what this space! Here is a little taster of hopefully what's to come... my last post featured some old hand printed photographs from my college days and I have just created a little inspiration poster using the 'mystic' woods as background. I am hoping to use this blog as a platform to share any magical little finds of inspiration...I would like to keep the content as original and unique as possible i.e. no re-blogging other people's work, but more little things I find special from actual life and little creative projects on the side of my 'real' work maybe...little creations from bakes to makes! sketches, photos and more! so if you have been reading...are still reading...My 'professional blog' is now over on the Wordpress site. Thanks love Suzy x
Just found these old hand printed photographs I did years ago for college...I miss experimenting with this medium and I don't use my camera any more and need to get a new one soon!
Thought these might be nice to use in a scrapbook/journal context? What do you think? They are a bit weird and spooky...take from them what you will! Art school day!
I really love anything vintage, antique, retro and especially textiles! As this is the Jubilee weekend I would really like to share a personal favourite this embroidery sampler that my mother Averil created back in 1952 (I think) in time for the year 1953 to commemorate the crowning of Queen Elizabeth 2nd! I think you will agree it is beautiful and will become a family heirloom! She has used a variety of stitches and even includes a personal stitched signature! Happy Jubilee weekend everyone!
